Iván Simonovis Pertiñez is a Berlin-based filmmaker from Venezuela, with a BA in Media Sciences from the Philipps Universität Marburg and a MA in Film Studies from the Free University of Berlin.
He’s interested in film history, political documentaries and the limits of reality in non-fiction. His first feature premiered in the main competition at Visions du Réel 2023.
As an audio producer he’s made hundreds of episodes for Babbel and other companies in Germany.
